Optical Brightener OB is highly effective in polymer substrates such as PE, PP, ABS, PMMA, PET,PVC,PC,PA6,PU, adhesives and other organic substrates.

Main applications include fibers, molded articles, films and sheets. It can be used in clear lacquers, pigmented lacquers, paints, printing ink and synthetic leather. It is used for brightening of color pigments and to improve the jetness of black pigments.

Optical Brightener OB can be used as a tracer in a variety of applications.

OB features excellent resistance to heat, exceptional whitening properties, good light fastness and low volatility. It has a brilliant bluish cast and is readily soluble in organic solvents and features good compatibility in various substrates. The product is especially suitable for applications such as films and fibers.

OB enhances the whiteness of the substrate. In combination with dyes, the product produces particularly bright shads. Its excellent heat resistance renders OB suitable for all relevant processing conditions. It is suitable for packing applications but local regulations must be observed.

When OB is used in PMMA polymerization, take care that the polymerization is conducted to full completion since interaction with residual monomer can cause discoloration in the final application.
